Connecticut 3-6 months contract opportunity for two Electrical Engineers to transition new products into a manufacturing environment.
Design and testing of fixtures and test stations, ensure product reliability through theoretical analysis and test development and execution.
Identify electrical components at risk, evaluating and validating alternatives.
Ideally, the candidate will possess expertise particularly related to the design of electronic circuits and associated manufacturing technologies and will provide technical guidance and analysis in the areas of electronic circuit design, component qualification, reliability, and test development.
Will provide sustaining engineering, partnering closely with supply chain and contract manufacturers to identify electronic material component issues and prioritize and coordinate risk mitigation activities.
Drive the investigation of product failures through root-cause investigations, performing analysis, developing test protocols and implementing corrective actions utilizing the ECO process.
Develop field risk assessments, accelerated-life-testing (HALT/HASS), environmental testing and protocol development to support analyses.
Understanding and experience of electronic design, EMC/EMI mitigation techniques, manufacturing and assembly processes desirable.
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
Project management skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, logic analyzers, waveform analyzer, electrical testing equipment, environmental testing equipment, PC and instrumentation.
Bench top testing and troubleshooting with typical lab equipment.
MS Office, PC and Databases.
