We are seeking a highly experienced quality control technician to join our team in Menomonee Falls, WI.
Aide in development of quality and inspection plans from design drawings, meeting company requirements for ISO 9001-2000, ISO 13485 and AS 9100 standards.
Program and operate CMM to specifications.
Determine gauge and fixture requirements.
Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications.
Test finished products for paint and plating, quality and thickness, dimensions, profile and appearance.
Re-route product for rework.
Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.
Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality.
Perform process capability studies; recommends changes to improve quality.
Ensure product quality and deadlines are met.
Assist the organization in enforcing the Quality System.
Provide assistance to internal audits.
Identify Corrective and Preventative Actions.
Maintain consistent standards for RTD.
Participate on cross functional teams to address and resolve quality problems; ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.
Coordinate and implement cost saving measures.
Maintain required level of training hours each year.
Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization and ensure the groups follow those procedures and controls.
Calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, proportions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to multi-task many jobs.
Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines.
Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.
Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Recognize, report, and correct errors.
Support LEAN manufacturing and 5S practices
Commit to the corporate goals, mission, and vision.
Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and ISO and quality standards.
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
Effectively communicate with managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization, including negotiating and conflict management.
Travel, as required.
Requires a high school education.
3+ years related quality and CMM experience.
Progressive knowledge of industry software.
Intermediate use of Microsoft software.
Prior manufacturing experience.
Prior machining or CNC operation.
CQI or TQM certification
