Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team in the chemical industry. As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of rotating equipment to support the achievement of business objectives. You will use your expertise to identify equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop and implement solutions to improve the overall performance of the equipment.

What You Will Do:
  • Use your expertise to identify equipment issues and perform root-cause analysis
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Implement and track Key Maintenance/Reliability Performance Indicators
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts for rotating equipment
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to prioritize and schedule work
  • Champion preventive/predictive maintenance of plant equipment
  • Investigate reasons for downtime/failures, assist in the identification of root causes, and develop/implementation of technical solutions
  • Maintain costs within budget specifications
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
 What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the chemical industry with a focus on rotating equipment reliability
  • In-depth understanding of rotating equipment function and design, regulatory requirements, and PSM Mechanical Integrity
  • Familiarity with welding principles
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams
  • Knowledgeable in the use and integration of predictive and preventive maintenance tools
  • Experience in leading and participating in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical data
  • Strong project management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment
