Job Description

A growing design build, general contractor and construction management company in Johnston, IA who specializes in the agricultural, manufacturing, commercial and industrial construction markets is looking for a construction site safety manger. 

Safety Manager Qualifications:
-BA in Safety and Health or related field preferred
-Active Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification
-5+ years experience in construction safety
-Procore experience preferred
-Must be able to travel (local, overnight and extended)
-Pay starts at $80K  based on experience + bonus

Safety Manager Job Duties:
-Coordinate with OSHA, develop, train, and ensure project safety plans are being utilized on all jobsites
-Mentor and  support field teams on complex risks, critical lifts, hazardous material handling, trenching and electrical
-Develop and enforce safety and health programs on federal, state and local standards
-Actively audit safety programs for ways to improve process and communications
