Senior Process Engineer Direct Hire
$99,000 – $132,500 + Bonus + Excellent Benefit Package

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity to join a leading supplier of refining, petrochemicals, renewable fuels, sustainable plastics and green energy industries. This position provides technical support for thermal heater designs, proposals and studies.
What You Will Do:
- Provide technical thermal design and process engineering support for fired heaters, electric heaters, waste heat recovery units and associated auxiliaries in support of technical proposals, projects, studies and revamps
- Coordinate with commercial, engineering and procurement teams for proposal activities
- Prepare, review, design datasheets of fired heaters, electrical heaters and waste heat boilers
- Develop P&IDs, review of line sizing, pump calculations, hydraulics, equipment & instrument datasheet preparation, interlock summary and cause & effect diagram, utilities & tie-in summary preparation, equipment layout, and operating manual preparation
- Participate in 3D model reviews and Material Requisitions (RFQs)
- Evaluate vendor quotations and prepare technical bid analysis
- Coordinate technical queries and technical deviations raised by vendors
- Participate in management estimate review meetings
- Participate in Engineering review meetings and review of change orders
- Burner Testing & Burner start-up
- Participate in HAZOP and SIL reviews with clients, end users or EPCs
- Provide pre-commissioning, commissioning & start-up support for major package items like heaters, WHRUs and SCR deNOx system
- Participate in performance guarantee test runs
- Contribute to troubleshooting of problems at sites
- Review cost estimates for proposals
What You Will Need:
- 5 years of experience in Process/Thermal design of Fired Heaters, WHB and associated systems
- Deep understanding of appropriate industry standards (API 560, et al) and codes (ASME, ASTM)
- Experience in studies, troubleshooting and commissioning
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with FRNC-5 heater simulation programs is a plus
