Enter the role of Staff Attorney, where you will utilize your legal expertise to strengthen a vital and progressive environment, drafting, and negotiating while advising on a range of contract matters, and supporting the Contract department. You will also assist the Director of Contracts on various legal matters affecting the organization.

Your New Role as a Staff Attorney:
Join one of Houston, TX's most trusted and progressive mental healthcare organizations as the Staff Attorney. In this role, you will analyze existing, new, and proposed federal and state healthcare laws, rules, and regulations that pertain to the organization's legal research and provide written opinions resulting from the review, prepare and monitor checklists and timelines to coordinate real estate due diligence of purchase and sale activities, and review staff drafts, or assist in drafting, solicitations, including requests for proposals, qualifications, and requests for formal and informal quotes, and resultant procurement agreements. 

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Staff Attorney Education and Talent:
  • A Juris Doctor degree is required.
  • A Texas Licensure as an Attorney is required.
  • Must be in good standing with the Texas Bar or any other State’s Bar, or eligible for admission to Texas within six (6) months of hire is required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working as an attorney is required. 
  • Advanced legal research skills, including library-based and electronic research solutions, are required.
