Production/Manufacturing Supervisor (2nd shift)
Type: Direct-Hire
Second shift
Location: Morris, IL
Salary: $80,000/year - $85,000/year 
 
 
DEPARTMENT/ POSITION SUMMARY
A top leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Production Supervisor, who will be responsible for leading the production team to meet goals, coordinating the production schedule, ensure safety on the floor.
 
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Assure effective operation of assigned areas of manufacturing to meet an established schedule and production plan. 
  • Establishing, managing, and coordinating production schedules to meet delivery schedules and budget expectations.
  • Function as a change agent in plant modernization efforts. 
  • Supervise Hourly employees in the assigned area to assure effective utilization of personnel and facilities. 
  • Determine needs and coordinate actions required to maintain standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in the area supervised. 
  • Train and motivate an effective workforce of qualified Hourly personnel capable of meeting area goals and objectives. 
  • Perform assigned duties within the guidelines of established Company policy and practice.
 
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS)
MINIMUM: 
 
  • Bachelor or associate degree (preferred), High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Previous formal leadership experience 
  • Manufacturing or fabrication industry experience 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of Leadership
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes
