Premier Mentor area manufacturer has immediate opening for a Product Labeling Coordinator
$17 - 20/hr
Part time, 20 hours a week, flexible within Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM - 6 month assignment
The Product Labeling Coordinator, works with the Product Labeling Specialist to develop and maintain medical device product labeling, informational and instructional literature, packaging, internal documentation and the implementation of required regulations and guidelines.
Under supervision, interfaces with R&D staff, project team leaders, vendors, and others to gather information for new or revised product labeling.
Coordinates with graphic designers, engineers, scientists to assist in developing total instructional literature and product labeling projects.
Assists with the coordination of project development folders that contain engineering drawings, design files, visual references, and research.
Verifies accuracy and completeness of documentation produced, including proofreading, completing design control/project documentation, obtaining necessary approvals, and releasing to operations for production.
Participates in product labeling projects using engineering change process tasks.
Responsible for self-direction in scheduling personal workload and prioritizing projects.
Possesses strong ability to observe detail, attention to consistency and standard practices regarding product labeling.
Perform other duties as assigned by designated personnel and under direction of supervisor.
Minimum of Associates degree in English, communications, or in technical field, with strong secondary emphasis on language skills or equivalent experience required. Experience in technical writing or demonstrated comparable proficiency highly desirable.
Experience in writing technical documents with an emphasis on medical device operator manuals and instructional literature preferred.
Minimum one year of experience with electronic desktop publishing equipment and layout programs, Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Requires 0-5 years of related printing, publishing, layout experience and familiarity working with languages other than English
Review change management activities
Prepare labeling review packets
Attend Labeling Technical Reviews
Writes and illustrates instructional and informational copy
Familiar with regulations for technical writing/medical device labeling (FDA, CDRH, ISO, BSI, etc.)
Updates company web-based Customer-databases/matrices, application tools and related documentation.
Possesses basic technical writing, communication skills.
Possesses basic graphic design layout familiarity and product labeling experience.
