Temp to Hire, fulltime opportunity with mid-sized shop.  Looking for a Lead Tool & Die Maker with a solid work background.



Oversee and manage multiple tooling jobs proactively.  Includes:  prototypes, builds, machining of piece parts per print, troubleshooting, and die repair.  To Lead team in the creation, building, try out and final submission of various stamping dies with minimal to no supervision.           



         Must be experienced in metal stamping progressive dies

         Strong Machining Dies background

         This is not an office position - On-the-floor working Tool and Die Lead

         Experience leading, training, coaching and developing apprentices

         Experience with dies, gauges, weld fixtures, assemblies; Draw and transfer dies

         Building new dies and troubleshooting dies

         Solidworks experience solid understanding of CAD software

         Drives production time-to-job completion results

         Sets up and operate all tool room equipment efficiently; such as milling machines, CNC mills, lathes conversation lathes, grinders and cranes

         Proficient blueprint reading and math skills including geometry and trigonometry.

         Moderate understanding of G and M codes, wire EDM s CNC s lasers and waterjets.

         Offer technical assistance to customers and vendors at a professional level.

         Ability to delegate & manage multiple tasks, and organize and prioritize time effectively.

Job Qualifications:

         A journeyman with at least 5-7 years experience (or equivalent experience building various metal stamping dies from start to finish

         Five years experience in die repair, which includes in press troubleshooting

         Proficient listening, verbal, and written communication skills

         Goal oriented and dedicated to a team work approach

         Above average understanding of GD&T

         High level of problem solving and analytical thinking

         Must be able to move between department and satellite buildings

         Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

         Safety conscience at all times and demonstrate to team

         At times will be working in a loud, dirty and sometimes warm environment

         Must provide own tools

Hours, Wage, Benefits:

         1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6 am 2 pm

         $29-33/hr. based on experience
