POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate position will support coordination of ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and delivering/shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in tool room and warehouse. This position assists with maintaining tools, building, and company vehicles, as needed. The Warehouse Associate will also serve as a driver to run errands during seasonal peaks or as projects demand by safely operating Company vehicle.


DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds long-term and loyal customer relationships by identifying solutions to meet field superintendent and customer’s needs.
  • Cares for and preserves items received, stored, and shipped as directed by manager and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping items. Load shipments and deliver as needed for projects and supervisors.
  • Maintains tool room as directed. Supports the tracking of tools and equipment on and off job sites using Tool Watch by entering new tools, tool repairs and job locations. Cleans and performs minor repairs to tools.  Completes warranty/recall work as needed to maintain tools in proper working condition.
  • Runs errands to pick up tools/materials as needed for seasonal peaks and project rushes.
  • Maintains Company vehicles by taking to scheduled appointments for lubrication or repairs based on date of last lubrication and mileage traveled or urgency of repairs. Contacts garage to verify completion of repairs or maintenance. Regularly cleans vehicles.
  • Unloads delivery van or vendor trucks of equipment, tools, or receivables. Reviews purchase orders for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures. Writes and submits purchase orders as needed.
  • Assists with special and periodic inventories. Assists with other special projects such as reorganizing storage areas, assisting furniture with orders, assist with project needs at a job site (pour concrete, unload shelving units, demolition), etc. May support uniform and safety ordering if needed.
  • Adheres to all safety procedures and supports a positive attitude toward safety and culture. 
  • Other duties as assigned to support field operations, furniture warehouse, facility maintenance needs and customer needs such as snow removal and building upkeep.


EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Knowledge of construction tools and equipment strongly preferred.
  • Experience driving a forklift.  (Certification preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers.  (Excel and Tool Watch preferred).


CERTIFICATES |LICENSES

  • Valid Nebraska or Iowa Driver’s License without major moving violations
  • First Aid/CPR Certified required or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Knowledge of safe working practices.


KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

  • Excellent organization and communication skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize to handle multiple and simultaneous requests and/or projects. 
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities in a professional and accommodating manner.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Ability to do “what it takes” to support the construction and furniture teams.
  • Must be dependable and reliable with an ability to be honest and work with integrity when supporting the AOI teams.
  • Ability to safely operate a table saw, snow blower, and general maintenance tools and equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to speak effectively to suppliers, vendors, or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and knowledge of the Omaha Metro area
