Job Description

Welder – MIG/TIG - 1st Shift 

Pay Rate: $20 & UP per hour BOE
Location: Germantown, WI
Hours: 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:50AM – 3:20PM
 
In this advanced level experience MIG/TIG Welder role, you will support daily production requirements – while sharing best practices within that of a team-based work environment. This role will consist of manual/open-table MIG/TIG Welding operations on a diversified line of light to medium gauge mild-steel, stainless steel and aluminum parts.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the overall team through the implementation of Safe Work practices
  • Work from and interpret drawings/sketches, routings, and process control sheets
  • Perform welding setups and operations for open-table MIG/TIG
  • Assist in the development, selection and maintaining consistent welding techniques and processes to ensure maximum weld strength and uniformity, within specified limits to recognized procedures
  • Visually inspect weldments; identifies potential quality non-conformance through First Piece Inspections and sufficiently repairs and reports defects
Requirements:
  • 5 years of practical manufacturing/welding experience in a production/job shop environment
  • High school diploma or general education degree is required
  • Keen understanding of the use of measurement tools/methods, part tolerances, welding fixtures and sequence of operation
  • Excellent Communication and Observation skills – detailed oriented
  • Process Knowledge – practical insight into fabrication and welding disciplines
