Job Summary for Welder:
Identify and repair weld defects on various sizes of castings made from various grades of steel, iron and bronze using electric welders. Blend weld deposits with assorted hand held pneumatic grinders to match casting contours and shapes.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Welder:
Identify casting defects
Remove defect through grinding or arc gauging
Repair defect in accordance with documented weld procedure
Individual must be able to pass standard industry weld tests in various alloys and weld techniques. SMAW, GTAW, GMAW: GTAW is the primary technique required.
3 - 5 years welding experience or advanced education in welding from a technical or trade school
Welding Technician Certification from a technical or trade school in lieu of experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as print, safety rules, operating instructions, job tickets, and procedure manuals written in English. Must be able to covey issues or concerns relating to the production and finishing of cores.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
1st shift 5 am 3:30 pm
Pay based on experience - $17-26/hr.
