Waukesha County Fabrication seeks a well-experienced Mig Welder


This company is a contract manufacturing company offering metalworking services. For over 25 years, this company has specialized in precision metal stamping , fabrication and machining offering quality products to the U.S. metal stamping industry.


Responsibilities of the Mig Welder include:

                    Become a vital member of the Fabrication building, which includes MIG/TIG welding, and brake press operation 

                    As a Mig Welder, be proficient in mild steel/stainless steel welding

                    Ability to weld spare parts in various directions; flat, horizontal or vertical

                    Must be able to do clamping, holding, tack-welding, bolting, or grinding spare parts to create a final, welded product

                    Ability to manage multiple tasks, and organize and prioritize time effectively

                    Verify dimensional accuracy and quality of part details

                    Operate basic tool room equipment, including brake press equipment, grinders and various hand tools

                    Perform periodic maintenance and inspections of equipment and components

                    Assist in other areas in the Fabrication Shop as needed

                    Ability to interact with multiple members of different teams

                    Work independently and as a part of a team


Qualifications for the Mig Welder role:

                    High School diploma or GED equivalent required

                    MIG/TIG welding certification and 5 years welding experience.

                    Must be able to read blueprints and understand welding symbols

                    Good math skills required

                    Must become fork lift certified

                    Proficient with measuring equipment

                    Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally

                    Must use PPE, welding equipment, safety toed shoes, and wear company provided uniforms

                    At times will be working in a loud, dirty and sometimes warm environment


                    2nd shift; Monday-Friday, 2 pm 10 pm

                    $19-21/hr. based on experience
